INFORMATION UPDATE : INFORMATION UPDATE : INFORMATION UPDATE

Having moved to the Unitary Constitution in 2009, the Kirk Session became the body responsible for all of our Kirk's affairs. Our Committees consisting of many of our number are now doing the work necessary to support the whole process and concept. One pleasing feature of our current set-up is the number of young people we have with us week by week and they play a vital role in our worship by taking an active part. They can be found on door and collection duty, but the part we like most is the fact that the majority of them play musical instruments so that talent is harnessed in our Praise Band which is used on a number of occasions in our calendar - you could be lucky and be with us on one of these dates !! We are looking at ourselves again in the light of the General Assembly's remit for Presbyteries to reduce the number of ministerial appointments in their area. Each congregation has been asked to look to the future and see if they can make positive suggestions as to how their "mission" might be summed up so a clearer and more sustainable "plan" for church provision can be worked out. The future may be a little clouded at present but we are sure we can provide evidence to see ourselves as a vibrant force in our area, and we are making positve strides forward to fulfil the remit we were given. The number of people who have given "evidence" in support of the "vision and plan" has been much welcomed and we are confident we can complete the task within the allotted time frame. We look forward to sharing some of our thoughts in the weeks and months to come - watch this space !!

We now can accommodate disabled people at each of our sites and access points are clearly marked and signed. For many years our sound systems have included an "induction loop" for those with hearing aids - these can be turned to the "T" position to use the facility.

Our Pew Bibles are the "New International Version" with its more modern approach to language and presentation.

"The Just Church". We as a congregation are "signed up" to the "Just Church" Charter. We hope you see we are continually trying to make things better for our congregation.

AN INVITATION - If you are in our area, why not come along to one of our Services - we will make you most welcome - details are on our Organisations page - just "click" on the link below.

One feature of our witness is a Midweek Service at 2.00pm on every second Wednesday in the small hall at St. David's. Designed to cater for those who feel they cannot make it to either of our Sunday Services, but are up and about by lunchtime, these gatherings will last about 45 minutes and will be followed by a time of fellowship with a cup of tea or coffee - we will make you most welcome - they begin their fortnightly cycle this year on Wednesday 7th. September Details are also on our Organisations Page - just "click" on the link below.

Our Communion Services are held on the fourth Sunday of January, April, June and October
